Spanish pickleball is more alive than ever! The Gran Canaria Open 2026, first event of the national circuit Cervezas Victoria Pickle Pro Tour, has concluded with a resounding success and record figures that confirm the unstoppable growth of this sport in our country.

A historic start in Las Palmas.

The inaugural event, held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, registered a total of 192 entries, an increase of 35% over the previous edition. The competition was intense, with a total of 485 matches played between the facilities of the Conde Jackson Club and the spectacular center court located in the Plaza Alcalde Fernando Ortiz Wiot, in the heart of Paseo de Las Canteras.

In addition to the volume of players, the tournament stood out for its international character, with participants of up to 11 different nationalities, which places the Pickle Pro Tour as the absolute reference circuit.

Honor Roll: The Kings of Gran Canaria

The finals day crowned the best players in the PRO categories, who demonstrated a very high level:

  • Men’s Singles PRO: Héctor Sánchez won the title after defeating Alberto Seccia in a vibrant three-set final.
  • Women’s Individual PRO: The victory went to Katie Morris, who beat Paula Levitskiy.
  • Men’s Doubles PRO: The pair formed by Jesús Campos and Javier Gallego won the trophy.
  • Women’s Doubles PRO: Katie Morris repeated her success with Kaitlynn Hart.
  • Mixed Doubles PRO: María Pintor and Jesús García were proclaimed champions in a high level final.

There were also memorable moments in other categories, such as the victory of Elena Bonilla in the women’s singles +50 PRO or the triumph of Gabriel Satrúegui and Eva Martínez in the mixed doubles 4.5.

And of course, we must highlight and congratulate the young promise of Bürk, Lucas Corral who achieved a more than creditable third place in the singles category 3.5 despite his youth, thus confirming that he is a future star of pickleball in Spain.
